The partners of Etosha Consult International are well aware of the fact that the name of our enterprise is no coincidence. The name is closely linked with the Etosha National Park and Etosha Pan in Northern Namibia, Africa. It was under the canopy of stars of the southern hemisphere in this endless wide open African savannah landscape where the idea of a company was born that is strongly committed to the vision of Sustainable Development.
Probably it was because of this source of origin that Etosha Consult International didn’t follow the worldwide trend of consultancy business during the 90ies. When other consulting companies bought each other in order to grow, Etosha Consult International organized its flexible network of affiliates, and invested in capacity building and friendships around the world. As a result Etosha Consult experts base their project services not only on a lived commitment, but also on solid scientific education on sustainable development.
Now that the world at the beginning of the 21st century seems to change much quicker in terms of economic, social and environmental issues than any decade before, our clients benefit from the foresighted consultancy policy of Etosha Consult International. For us, e.g. climatic change and its impacts on the economic, social and environmental systems is nothing new. During our time in Namibia in the 90ies we already provided risk minimization services and designed LERIS®, the Landscape-Ecological Risk Information System. Through thorough analysis of past and recent development trends we are able to provide a realistic and comprehensive picture of the future. Together with our clients we develop visions and professionally facilitate reaching objectives through target orientated activities. Etosha Consult International professionals have long-term experience in Project Cycle Management.
Today it is clearer than ever before that a strategic approach to Sustainable Development needs solutions that go beyond traditionally and artificially defined sectors. Only holistic and cross-cutting approaches will led towards a new balance between economical, social and environmental interests. This goes for individuals and companies, as well as for communities, regions and entire countries. All this requires an in depth understanding of development and competent change management.
